Jordi Veciana (Barcelona, 1960) earned his degree in Industrial Design in Barcelona in 1986. Subsequently, he moved to New York to join Vignelli Associates, where he focused on a wide range of product and furniture design. From 1990 to 1998 he worked with Ralph Lauren, designing both furniture and interiors for the firm’s Home Division in RL stores throughout the world. Veciana returned to Barcelona in 1998 and began to collaborate with Grupo Inditex as a creative director, conceiving of new concepts for the Zara Group’s innovative retail spaces. In 2001, he established his own studio in Barcelona, specializing in lighting, product and interior design for a host of Spanish and international clients. He’s also cofounder together with Skye Maunsell of Montoya based in Barcelona.
